2007 was a great year for Mustangs. This generation which began in 2005 was an instant hit. In '07 the supercharged GT 500 was introduced and Ford racing knew that there was a need to have something between the base GT and the GT500, so it was only natural to get Ford Racing and Shelby together to find the sweet spot in the middle, hence the term, "A Steed for Every Need" The Shelbys left the Mustang Plant and headed to the Shelby facility in Las Vegas where they were transformed. The Shelby GTs were all coupes and were offered in only two colors, black and white, both with silver stripes. All Shelbys got an engine tune and new exhaust, plus an extensive FR1 (Ford Racing) suspension and handling package. All coils were replaced with Ford Racing springs that reduced the ride height by 1.5", new struts, shocks, shock tower brace, 3:55 rear end ratio, Hurst short throw shifter, a heavier sway bar and 18" Wheels. The engine got a bump in HP with a cold air intake and a new X-Pipe exhaust. Cosmetically, they had the classic '66 GT350 stripes and a hood scoop, the rear spoiler was not installed because the original '66 Shelby did not have a rear spoiler. The Shelby GTs have a numbered dash plaque, Shelby Sill Plates, Embroidered Head Rests and all have an authentic Carroll Shelby Autograph on the RH sun visor This car is like new and has only 4200 Orig miles. It has the original window sticker, all Shelby paperwork, Carroll Shelby picture, factory sales literature, cert of authenticity and temp license plates from the original selling dealer in GA. It is hard to find these cars with such low miles and they will always be a sought after car. A small number of these cars have added the superchargers, it would be an awesome platform to do so. As always, a clean Carfax is on file, so buy with confidence and remember, "life is too short to drive boring cars"
