1976 was the final year of convertible production in the US until they were re-introduced in 1987 on the Corvette. The last convertible produced was a "76 Eldorado. Between '76-'87 the only option was a custom made convertible. This car was manufactured in the Linden New Jersey assembly plant and was shipped to the American Sunroof Company in Lansing Michigan for it's transformation to a convertible. These were expensive conversions back in the day, but if you wanted a new Eldorado convertible, this was the only option available. After the conversion was completed, the car was shipped to New Mexico for it's awaiting new owner were it spent a good share of it's life. This is a unique and very well appointed car with the top of the line Biaritz trim package. Everything is complete including the factory manuals and build sheet!
